What is EFT?

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT or ‘Tapping’) is a revolutionary treatment method that offers instant healing from emotional and physical pain, including disease. EFT works by tapping on acupressure meridians to release emotional blockages. When these blockages are released, the problem feeling can be released and move through and out of the body, because the cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body’s energy system. Physical pain and disease are intricately connected to negative emotions. Health problems create feedback – physical symptoms cause emotional distress, and unresolved emotional problems manifest themselves through physical symptoms. Many people compare EFT to acupuncture (yet without the needles) because we use the fingertips to stimulate energy points on the body.

Most importantly, it gives you the power to heal yourself, putting control over your destiny back into your own hands. Tapping restores the body’s energy balance, negative emotions are conquered and you experience an immediate sense of relief.

Who can use EFT?
With some instruction, it is possible for children and adults to use it quickly and effectively. Although most people choose to tap on themselves, it is also possible to allow someone else to tap on you. Similarly, you might choose to tap on someone else (with their permission!) in order to help them if they are upset. One common example of this is to tap on young children who are in distress. It’s simple for anyone to master and it’s free.
Where can I use EFT?
This is an easily mastered technique that can be performed virtually anywhere. Sitting down at work or in the car, standing in a line in the supermarket, lying down, or walking and moving as you tap are all great ways to incorporate tapping easily into your daily life.
